Two Pipes and a Drum is a Scottish Highland pipes and drum trio based in Southeast Michigan. We specialize in providing high-quality bagpipe and drum performances for a variety of events, including weddings, funerals, parades, and other special occasions. Our trio consists of two pipers and one drummer, providing a full and authentic sound that is sure to impress your guests.

Meet the Band

Max (Drums) Hey There! I’m Max, the drummer for Two Pipes And A Drum. I’m the oldest sibling of the Two Pipes And A Drum team. I’ve been drumming for as long as I can remember, but I have been drumming for pipe bands since 2023. I also play guitar and piano. I recently graguated with my Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and now I’m currently working for an automotive company. During my free time I enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, and baking

Oliver (Bagpipes) Hello! I’m Oliver! I’m a bagpiper, and I’m the middle sibling of our group. I’ve been piping since 2017, but I also play piano. I am currently finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at U of M Dearborn, and I plan to enter the Master’s program for Mechanical Engineering as soon as I graduate. I currently work in a research lab at U ofM Dearborn, where we explore the uses of cold plasma. In my free time I enjoy playing pickleball, volleyball, and desiging jewelry out of metal, wood, paper, epoxy, and glass.

Kate (Bagpipes) Hi! I’m Kate! I’m the youngest sibling in the trio, and I’m also a bagpiper. I’ve been bagpiping since 2017. I also play piano, guitar, ukulele, and a little bit of drums. I teach piano, and play both piano and guitar on my church worship team. I’m currently in my seconds year of Nursing School at Madonna University, and also work as a Nursing Assistant in a local hospital. In my free time I like to bake, sew, and play volleyball and pickleball.
